What Is an X-Ray?
An X-ray is the fastest, most common form of medical imaging. It uses a very low dose of radiation to capture images of your bones and certain tissues, making it the go-to first look for injuries and chest symptoms.
When You Might Need an X-Ray
Our doctors order an X-ray when your symptoms need a look beneath the surface:
- A fall, twist, or sports injury, where an X-ray settles sprain vs. fracture in minutes
- Suspected broken bones in arms, wrists, ankles, fingers, toes, or ribs
- Chest symptoms like persistent cough, congestion, or possible pneumonia
- Joint pain or swelling from arthritis, dislocations, or bone spurs
- Swallowed or embedded foreign objects
- Work injuries requiring documentation
If a doctor elsewhere ordered an X-ray days out, walk in; we can usually scan you today.

Yes. Walk-ins are welcome during all open hours. Our doctor evaluates you first; if an X-ray is needed, it happens during the same visit.
We offer flat self-pay pricing; call (562) 731-3990 for current rates. With insurance, you pay a $99 upfront fee, and we bill your plan for the rest. See Insurance & Pricing.
Before you leave. Our ER-trained doctors read your images on site and explain what they see, then set your treatment plan at the same visit.
Modern digital X-rays use very low radiation doses, and we only image what’s medically necessary. Tell us if you’re pregnant or may be pregnant, and we’ll use ultrasound or another safer option.
