COVID-19 Testing & Lab Results

We offer nasal swab, rapid PCR, and antibody COVID-19 testing with on-site lab results. We recommend being tested for COVID-19 if you’ve had known exposure to anyone testing positive and are showing symptoms yourself.

Covid-19 Appointment

Testing Process

At ContinuEM, we offer two different types of testing – PCR rapid tests and nasal swab tests. We recommend the nasal swab tests and perform them in our offices. If someone needs a rapid test for more urgent test results, the PCR tests are the best option. No blood drawing is required to test for the COVID-19 virus.

If you’re interested in being tested for the COVID-19 antibodies, there will need to be blood drawn for testing. Not to worry, it’s not as much blood as other testing and requires one test tube or less. Antibody testing shows whether you’ve been positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks and usually means you have a window of time where you will not test positive again.

We work with both CDC guidelines and FDA-approved testing to ensure we have the most accurate and safe testing procedures. When coming in for testing, we ask that you wear a mask and come by yourself if able so as to not expose more people to a possible positive test result.

Lab Results Process

Our lab result process is quick but varies between the different types of testing. If you’ve been administered a rapid PCR test, you will have your results within minutes. If you’ve opted for the nasal swab test, you can expect your test results within 1-2 days.

During high infection rate times, lab results may be delayed as we are serving a large community, but we will do everything in our power for you to know whether you are positive or negative for the COVID-19 virus.

If you do test positive, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines for quarantine and isolation so as to not spread the virus any further. As symptoms subside you can expect a negative result to follow shortly thereafter.

COVID-19 Treatments & Infusions

ContinuEM has made COVID-19 testing and treatments a priority throughout the duration of the pandemic, coexisting along our everyday urgent care services. We track medical advancements and trends for testing and treating the virus to offer the best of what’s available to our patients.

FDA-Approved Therapy Treatments

The FDA continues to approve new and updated COVID-19 therapy treatments and we work diligently to offer these to our ContinuEM patients as they become available. We’ve already administered different types of monoclonal antibody therapy treatments to patients and have seen reliable results.

As the virus changes and mutates, so must the treatments for it. You can count on us to always be offering the best and latest therapies for COVID-19 in order to help manage the virus and get our patients back to feeling healthy. While there may not be a way to completely stop the virus, we can help manage symptoms and ensure immunocompromised patients that there are other options than to simply endure.

Bebtelovimab Monoclonal COVID-19 Antibody Therapy Treatments

The Food and Drug Administration approved Bebtelovimab for emergency use in February of 2022 Bebtelovimab has been tested extensively in a clinical trial setting. Among high-risk patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19, Bebtelovimab reduced the risk of disease progression. Bebtelovimab works by binding to the spike protein of the virus that causes COVID-19, like other monoclonal antibodies that have been authorized for the treatment of high-risk patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 and shown a benefit in reducing the risk of hospitalization or death.

To get more information about Bebtelvimab check out the FDA fact sheet or NIH guidelines for COVID-19 treatment.

A COVID-19 diagnosis can be stressful, especially to individuals who experience pre-existing health conditions. Bebtelovimab reduces symptoms that can make a recovery difficult. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or want to see if you qualify for Sotrovimab, please call us or schedule an appointment online.
